AAAA bridge foster parents are a select group that has made a commitment to thinking of the child first.  This means our foster parents have a special calling to stay connected and provide ongoing support for children.

• Support - AAAA openly addresses the gray area in foster parenting - we understand working toward reunification, while building a long-term bond, is difficult.  We work with foster parents to help them manage expectations and concerns.  We provide one-on-one and group foster parent support to help cope with conflicting emotions and loyalties.

• Culturally Specific Services - The agency also offers culturally specific services.  AAAA's bridge foster care program is based on the long-standing tradition of kinship care in the African American community.

• Self-Actualization - AAAA bridge foster parents are rewarded through the trust, confidence and identity they build in children through long-term relationship and lifetime commitment.
