Being a bridge foster parent requires flexibility, commitment, patience and deep emotional resources.

To help ensure you are able to work toward permanency for every foster child, AAAA offers the following support.

• Respite care - Funding is available for foster parents to take periodic breaks while other responsible adults care for foster children;
• Educational funds - Bridge foster parents are allocated funds to attend conferences and seminars;
• Foster care payments - Finances are provided to care for the physical needs of foster children.  Payments are calculated by the state and considers each child's range of needs;
• One-on-one personal support - Each foster family is provided a trained resource worker who returns phone calls, responds to concerns and helps to overcome challenges;
• Support groups - AAAA's Family netWorks program connects foster parents to help pool practical resources and provide emotional support.
• Tailored services - AAAA's support services are tailored to meet the immediate needs of families.  We develop creative solutions to help your family succeed.
